A girl with a frilly skirt and striped leggings walked up the sidewalk, not looking anywhere but at the flashing Neon Sign up ahead. Hot pink and Lime green letters announced the name of the place, Club Chaotic, and a small smile overcame the girl's mask of serenity. Her hair was as green as the highlighted sign she walked toward, and her shoes had to be at least four inches tall. She walked with confidence, despite this height, and enormous grace. Her walk looked as if it belonged on a runway.
When she finally reached the stairs that led to the door into the club, there was no line. Not the most populated town full of teenagers, this place was really just here to be here. Despite this fact, there was still a burly bouncer standing in front of the door as she approached. She flashed him a grin and a wink, and he stepped aside immediately. He waved sheepishly as she paused at the door to hear his greeting.
"Evening Dani. How are you tonight?"
"The world is my oyster Charlie. Glad to see you're well."
Such an easy exchange might have looked as if it'd been planned long ago, but that was just the natural chemistry she had with every male on the planet. At least, every male of the human variety, and most of those of the fey. None could resist her charm, which was why, though she looked seventeen, she was always admitted to the club.
Ah yes, that was one strange thing about this girl. She was no ordinary girl. Imogeme Danielle Tapenade was a faerie, a summer sylph. Burdened by her old woman name given to her almost three hundred years ago, she found that shortening it to "Dani" was much easier, not to mention pleasing to the ear. The bouncer named Charlie opened the door for her with a nod, and she smiled at him again. She half danced, half surged through the beads on the other side and stopped just over the threshold. The door shut silently behind her, and she reveled in the brand-new senses that hit her.
Compared to the quiet noise of the street above, this place was loud, raucous, and strobe-lit. Club Chaotic was certainly a fine name for it. The sweet scent of liquor hit her nostrils and she breathed in, loving the atmosphere in the club. She could never get over it, as many times as she entered. Now that she was in her home, her habitat, she moved with ever more confidence, swift grace, as she moved straight for the bar.
She glided to a stop and lighted easily on one of the stools in front of the long bar, divided every yard or so by beams that held the weight of the building. She let out a whistle, and a few heads turned toward her. The only one that she was interested in, however, was the bar tender. Typically named Joe, he was one of Dani's best friends. He would give her anything, no charge, and he's done that for three years now. He might have to be replaced in a few years, simply because even though the years pass, she remains the same, but he's a good friend for the time being. He turned on his heel, abandoning the petite blonde at the end of the bar, and sauntered over to her.
"Heya Dani, what's your poison tonight?"
"Oh I don't know...surprise me."
"Adventurous are we? I'll see what I can do."
"Thanks Joe."
She turned and crossed her legs casually, surveying the dance floor with interest. Her eyes roved over the blonde Joe had ditched and she smirked. She waved at her with her fingers, and the girl turned away with a huff, flicking her hair over her shoulder. Dani continued scanning the floor, sipping at her drink when it was placed on the bar beside her. It was tangy and strong, burning her throat as it went down, and it made her smile. She didn't bother to ask what it was, just nodding at Joe in approval. He ducked out silently and went back to his other customers. Dani sipped her drink contentedly and waited for something to catch her attention.

“Bella, I don’t want you to come with me.” There was a pause as I repeated the words in my head a few times, sifting through them for their real intent. “You…don’t…want me?” I tried out the words, confused by the way they sounded in that order. "No."
