The snow felt heavenly between her toes. Though it was only autumn, the snow was welcomed in the winter court and Arlie was savoring it. Her eyes slid over and she glanced at the human, wondering if she could survive the cold, or would she suffer from a mass amount of frostbite. Prehaps her toes would fall off.

Arlie ran her fingers through her hair, shaking out some of the icicles, they were common place, but when they brushed the nape of her neck she shivered, and that was not preferable in front of these fae. The ones show did not approve of changlings.

The scenery was beyond what Arlie could have imagined. The trees were all white and frosted, but small lights were coming from the branches, leaves of light where green had once been. Everything was eerie, but still... beautiful. Icicles glowed softly and music came from the minstrals sitting in the trees. She tried not to gawk...

But that was near impossible.

Though Nikolai was tempted to make a smart-assed remark as Arlie tried to appear impassive about the spectacle, he restrained himself. He'd had trouble keeping his mouth closed at his first dancing night, too.

Dancing nights, though, were meant to be gawked at. Planners always outdid themselves, or tried to. One was not supposed to visibly display blatant awe, of course, but appreciation was perfectly appropriate.
